We had clear skies in most places in the UK and although many people made the effort to sight the Hilal in various places, we were not able to sight the Hilal of Sha’ban on Saturday evening (2nd July).

However we have received news of actual sighting (Muhaqaq Ru’ayat e Basri) from Kingdom of Morocco, Ministry of Waqaf and Islamic Affairs in writing. We therefore Had 29 days of Rajab and the Month of Sha’ban 1432 will commence from Sunday 3rd July 2011 Insha Allah.

Saudi Arabia also had 29 days of Rajab and have started the Month of Sha’ban from Saturday 2nd July 2011 based on the pre calculated Umm ul Qura Calendar.
