Do you want to make sure that you are celebrating the night of the 15th of Sha’baan on the correct date?

If you want to benefit from the correct date of 15th of Sha’baan then I am afraid following the Hizb ul Ulama calendar is not an option. Why not ask yourself this very important question based on logic and common sense: Why is there a difference of TWO whole days between Hizb ul Ulama declared month of Sha’baan and beginning of Sha’baan in India. As we are fully aware that the official Hilal committees of India only declare the new month after actual sighting. Is somebody from Hizb ul Ulama going to claim that the Hilal ‘claimed to be seen by Hizb ul Ulama’ in Saudi Arabia was invisible to the billions of Muslims in the Indian subcontinent?

Monthly Calendar For Sha'ban 1432

We had clear skies in most places in the UK and although many people made the effort to sight the Hilal in various places, we were not able to sight the Hilal of Sha’ban on Saturday evening (2nd July).

However we have received news of actual sighting (Muhaqaq Ru’ayat e Basri) from Kingdom of Morocco, Ministry of Waqaf and Islamic Affairs in writing. We therefore Had 29 days of Rajab and the Month of Sha’ban 1432 will commence from Sunday 3rd July 2011 Insha Allah.

Hilal Sighting Report for Sha'ban 1432 AH

Alhamdulillah, Members of Wifaq ul Ulama tried to sight the Hilal of Sha’baan throughout the UK. All reported negative. However we have received reports of positive sighting (Muhaqqaq Ru’yat e Basaree) from Morocco and South Africa, hence the Wifaq ul Ulama hereby announces that Rajab had 29 days and the 1st of Sha’baan will be on Sunday the 3rd of July 2011.

A detailed account of the Moonsighting issue in the UK by Majlisul Ulama of South Africa (Mufti AS Desai)

We have been informed that Hizb ul Ulama are distributing leaflets of the response of Majlisul Ulama of South Africa (Mufti AS Desai), through Masajid and individuals that normally claim "that this is an Ulama issue, we do not want to get involved". The reality is that the leaflets being distributed are based on a 'Half baked' question sent by Molvi Yaqub Miftahi of Hizb ul Ulama. After being advised of the truth Hadhrat Mufti Saheb printed and publicised this response in his latest Majlis issue, I do hope that the Masajid and individuals who distributed and displayed the leaflet based on MISINFORMATION supplied by the Hizb ul Ulama, now have the sincerity to distribute the TRUTH...Do remember 'Allah is ever an all watcher over you' Al Qur'aan Surah Al Nisaa verse 1
