Despite efforts locally, hilal was not sighted anywhere in the UK. However, news of positive sighting of the Hilal (Muhaqqaq Ru’yat e Basaree) was received from the Jamiat ul Ulama of South Africa. Hence the Wifaq ul Ulama hereby declares that the 1st of Dhul Hijjah is on Friday the 28th of October 2011. Eid ul Adha will be on Sunday the 6th of November 2011.
