Ṣafar 1441 will begin after sunset from Sunday, the 29th of September 2019. The decision was made based on news from Morocco and South Africa and was supported by other countries we have agreements with, thus the Islamic month of Ṣafar 1441 had begun. There was also a solitary sighting at Barr Beacon, Walsall.

Rabīʿ al-Awwal 1441 will begin after sunset from Tuesday, the 30th of October 2019. The decision was made because the Moon was not sighted in Britain, Morocco, South Africa or by other countries we have agreements with.

Rabīʿ ath-Thānī 1441 has begun after sunset from Wednesday, the 27th of November 2019. The decision was made based on verified sighting from Morocco and South Africa which are in the designated zone for United Kingdom.

Therefore, Rabīʿ ath-Thānī 1441 will complete 30 days and Jumādá al-Ūlá  1441 will begin after sunset from Friday, the 27th of December 2019 with Saturday being the first day. The decision was made based on verified sighting from Morocco and South Africa which are in the designated zone for United Kingdom.

The Moon for Jumādá al-Ākhirah 1441 was not sighted anywhere. Therefore, Jumādá al-Ūlá 1441 will complete 30 days and Jumādá al-Ākhirah 1441 will begin after sunset from Sunday, the 26th of January 2020 with Monday being the first day. The decision was made based on verified sighting from Morocco and South Africa which are in the designated zone for United Kingdom.

The Moon for Rajab 1441 was not sighted anywhere in Britain. However, it was sighted in France, Morocco and South Africa. Therefore, Rajab 1441 has begun after sunset from Monday, the 24th of February 2020 with Tuesday being the first day. The decision was made based on verified sighting from Morocco, South Africa and France which are in the designated zone for United Kingdom.

The Hilaal for Sha’bān 1441 was NOT sighted in the designated zone for United Kingdom. It has not been seen in France, Morocco and South Africa.
Therefore, the Islamic month of Rajab 1441 will complete 30 days and Sha’bān 1441 will begin after sunset on Wednesday, the 25th of March 2020. The first day will be on Thursday, the 26th of March 2020.

The night of 15th of Sha’ban will be on Wednesday 8th April After Magrib Salah.

Ramaḍān 1441

The Hilaal for Ramaḍān 1441 was NOT sighted in the designated zone for United Kingdom. It has not been seen in France, Morocco and South Africa.
Therefore, the Islamic month of Sha’ban 1441 will complete 30 days and Ramaḍān 1441 will begin after sunset on Friday, the 24th of April 2020. The first day will be on Saturday, the 25th of April 2020.

Shawwal 1441 will begin after sunset from Saturday, the 23rd of May 2020. The decision was made based on news from Morocco, thus the Islamic month of Shawwal 1441 has begun and Eid ul Fitr Wwill be on 24th of May 2020.  Eid Mubarak.  Taqabbalallahu minna wa minkum.

The Hilaal for Dhū al-Qaʿdah 1441 has not been sighted in the UK on 21-06-2020. It has not been seen in Spain, France and Morocco.
Therefore, the Islamic month of Shawwal 1441 will complete 30 days and Dhū al-Qaʿdah 1441 will begin after sunset on Monday, the 22nd of June 2020. The first day will be on Tuesday, the 23rd of June 2020
