Therefore, the Islamic month of Dhū al-Hijjah will complete 30 days. Muharram will begin after Magrib on Tuesday 16th June 2026.

The first day of Muharram will be Wednesday 17th June 2026.

The day of Ashura will be Friday 26th June 2026.

Wifaqul Ulama together and in consultation with Batley Moon Sighting Committee make the decision for the start of Islamic Months based on Moonsighting in UK (primary) and Morocco (secondary).
