We find the ruling of European Court of Justice (ECJ) that headscarves can be banned at workplace disappointing and an increasing encroachment upon personal liberty and freedom. We subscribe to pluralism and affirm that an individual should have the right to practise their belief. Rulings from ECJ in the last few years have been narrowing some of the rights borne out of Article 9 of the European Convention of Human Rights. We also find it disappointing that this ruling will overwhelming affect the Muslims of Europe.

Brexit: Now…

Let us begin by stating that the majority of British citizens exercised their right to express their wishes, that the UK should no longer be part of the EU. The wishes of the majority should be respected. We firmly believe that a majority of those voting for Brexit are neither racist nor xenophobic or Islamophobes but are decent, proud law abiding citizens of Britain who stand with us in condemning what is happening to our country.
We have taken the time to analyse some of the “facts” being presented by both sides of the campaign. It is our opinion that Muslims in Britain should utilise their right to vote on the 23rd of June and back the “Remain” campaign. Those who may not have the time to conduct a thorough research on the topic are advised to look at the backers of both campaign. The far right wishes for Europe to become more protectionist and insular but it is in our best interest to be more accommodating, unbiased, unprejudiced and to remain together. We respect the right of others who may disagree with us and back "Brexit", it is their democratic right.
