There is a sub­stan­tial need to edu­cate the pub­lic on fiqh and oth­er reli­gious sci­ences in a more aca­d­e­m­i­cal­ly rig­or­ous way. The poor under­stand­ing of Moon sight­ing fiqh is a symp­tom of a wider lack of learn­ing. To effec­tive­ly address these aspects requires bet­ter organ­i­sa­tion and stan­dards local­ly and nation­al­ly.
