Question: Please explain as to why there is such a problem with Moon Sighting in Britain? Why do other Ulama differ with you? What can be done to resolve the issue?

The issue of (dispute) over Moon Sighting in Britain is indeed regrettable. Wifaqul Ulama under the auspicious of its Ameer and Shura conducts regular Seminars and programs in cooperation with other organisations such as ICO-UK to raise awareness amongst the public.
Wifaqul Ulama has contacted many major Darul-ulooms and Ulama around the world to have its methodology and procedures scrutinised.
Two (2) scientific studies have been conducted on the methodology of Wifaqul Ulama.
We are open to suggestion and Mushwara from all Muslims and our processes are fully transparent. We encourage you to critique our methodologies and also of those who differ with us and then make up your own mind.
