You have dis­cussed the prob­lems of moon sight­ing in the Unit­ed Kingdom.

The deci­sion of moon sight­ing based entire­ly on cal­cu­la­tions is not cor­rect accord­ing to Jamhoo­rum­mat and I think that Shar’e com­mu­ni­ca­tion should be estab­lished with Moroc­co and it’s moon sight­ing should be con­sid­ered valid for Unit­ed Kingdom.

Sau­di moon sight­ing may also be valid (as a prin­ci­ple) accord­ing to Sharia but the sys­tem cur­rent­ly in place in Saudia makes it very dif­fi­cult for oth­er coun­tries to place their trust in it…

I have replied to your let­ter and I hope that you have now received the ear­li­er letter.

In sum­ma­ry I would like to say that the inhab­i­tants of Britain in the present cir­cum­stances should not con­sid­er the moon sight­ing of Sau­di Ara­bia as suf­fi­cient and they should con­tact Moroc­co in case of the weath­er not being clear.

In Sau­di Ara­bia the sight­ing of the moon has been accept­ed before even the birth of the moon on many occa­sions which is impos­si­ble in my view. I have dis­cussed the sit­u­a­tion with many Sau­di Ula­ma and they are also dis­turbed with these occur­rences how­ev­er since this is in the hands of the Majlisul Qada Al-Ala they are helpless.

۔۔۔آپ نےبرطانيہ ميں رویت کے سلسلے ميں پيش آنے والے مسئلے کا ذکر فرمایاہے۔فلکی حساب کے ذریعے رویت هلال کا فيصلہ تو جمهورِ امت کے فيصلے کے مطابق درست نهيں۔ اور ميرے نزدیک برطانيہ ميں یهی طریقہ مناسب ہے کہ مراکش وغيرہ سے شرعی طریقہ پر رابطہ قائم کرکے اسکی رویت کو برطانيہ ميں معتبر مانا جائے۔سعودی عرب کی رویت بهی معتبر ہو سکتی ہے مگر ۔سعودی عرب ميں جو نظام جاری ہے اسکے پيش نظر دوسرے ملکوں ميں اس پر اعتماد مشکل ہے۔

آپکے پهلے خط کاجواب دےچکا ہوں اميد ہے کہ اب وہ خط مل گيا ہو گا۔خلاصہ یہ ہے کےاحقر کی رائے ميں اهل انگلينڈ کيلے سعودی عرب کے اعلان کو بحالت موجودہ کافی سمجهنا مناسب نهيں۔بلکہ ان کو مطلع صاف نہ ہونے کی صورت ميں مراکش سے رجوع کرنا چاہيے ۔ سعودی عرب ميں کئی مرتبہ چاند کی ولادت سے پہلے ہی شهادت کو معتبر ماننے کا واقعہ پيش آیا جو احقر کی نظر ميں محلِ نظر ہے۔ اور متعدد سعودی علما سے احقر نے گفتگو کی وہ بهی اس معاملے ميں پریشان نظر آے ليکن چونکہ اس مسئلہ کاتعلق مجلس القضا الاعلی سے ہے اسلے وہ بےبس تهے۔
